Oh Hai complete and utter boredom i was wondering when you would show up

these are some of my favorite photos that a friend, kate did. i envy her work so much. she wants to be a photographer and i want her to make it so bad, its ridiculous. oh yeah im pretty sure she's won a bunch of photography awards.

i can feel the radio waves coming from my laptop and its making me feel sick. that's not a good sign is it?
i dont generally hate anything. except for the word hate and now, my laptop. which thinks that i really enjoy it going slow and not loading web pages and uploading photos.

ok so i finally finished the christmas present i was doing for my friend. as soon as i was done i took it to her cause i was so excited. its the first painting that's turned out exactly how i wanted it to.

but i only came up with this after i had stuffed up the original idea. which is a completely different world compared to this.


this is just some random paint i did. im going to call the little guy mumbo jumbo, cause that's what it felt like when i was painting him.


so im really excited about this family trip that's going to happen just after christmas. a 7 hour trip north from perth will take me to a place where the humidity is high and the wind is scarce. im going to need a bucket load of sunscreen. also im hoping to take some underwater pictures of the reef and fish.

the most slightly amusing thing happened today. while painting i noticed that the black paint on my palette looked like an alien. i got pretty excited and had to draw it.

you know its a good day when the sun is shinning, there's not a cloud in the sky and the heat is blistering. its also when you can lie in the pool with your eyes closed and it feels like your in the Bahamas.



i finally have a picture of a summer sunset. although i think it would be better if i could take one while im at the beach


i really want to make my own clothes. the only problem is i would probably end up sewing my hand cause i wont have any idea of what im doing. maybe ill take sewing classes or maybe i wont and just experiment. but first i have to actually get the materials and a sewing machine so itll be a while before that anything happens.

does anyone know if the Lula magazine is sold anywhere in Perth?

im working on my best friend's christmas present right now so i havent been doing much..wait no, thats a lie. i went to a christmas pageant with her ( i swear people dressed in mascot costumes for the sponsoring companies are just asking to be crash tackled to the ground), and then later we went to the beach and made sand animals.


we named the turtle roofus


i dont think we named the whale anything. but im pretty sure we silently agreed on pkew.

after we had finished, these Asian tourests told us our animals were "very good". as we thanked them and walked away, i could have sworn they started taking photos. which is kind of amusing cause they werent really that great.

anyways, here's a drawing that i did yesterday.

hes an outsider, he gets judged because hes different. all hes after is a friend. kind of like the gentle giant, only hes a bear not a giant.

i love the old school records. i was sick of all my dads ones, so i went and bought my own.

i dont really feel safe on buses. the only time i do is when im in a window seat looking out the window avoiding eye contact with every one around me with my ipod on, breaking that intense silence that you feel when your on there. but you know what also breaks that intense silence? people talking loudly on their phone. we know how annoying that is (unless your the one doing it). so your sitting there, brooding because you want this person to shut up, until you realise that they're talking in a different language. so now your suddenly intrigued. you pick up a few things in the conversation that gives you an idea on what theyre talking about, but then again you could be wrong, you dont know cause the only language you understand is English. at the same time you look at the creepy man you saw earlier as you got on and you realise, he has really cool shoes. on closer inspection you see that he looks like a gym junkie. ok so hes not so creepy after all. you then start looking at the back of the head of the weirdly dressed chick who go on a few stops back, she looks a bit like a hippie. you notice that she stares intensely out the window as you go past the public pool and a little while later, she starts braiding her fringe. you decide that even though shes weird, you want to talk to her cause she seems different and interesting. you smile a bit at the thought and think to yourself, ok this trip turned out to be alright.
on the trip home you have a new driver, and as you huddle in the back corner, avoiding eye contact with everyone, you start to realise that the driving skills of this guy is a bit below average. hmm should make for an interesting ride.

what does Yael Naim and Lisa Mitchell have in common? well, im not sure. what i do know is that they both have wikid feel happy video clips that make the world seem a happy place free from problems.
i love the fact that these are simple and look like they've been done in the middle of know where, and they just make me smile.

i think i might take a break from painting, cause i have a whole heap to do for some friends. so i think before i get started on that ill do some drawing. i havent done that in a while. so itll be nice to get into it again.
